Aureli Soil Srl perform continuous core geognostic surveys, undisturbed sampling, seismic tests in boreholes, installation of piezometers, inclinometer pipes, gauges, settlement gauges, load and pressure cells, strain gauge strips, displacement transducers, thermometers and ultrasonic level meters.
The company’s strong point is the ponetration tests that are a key instrument for geotechnical characterization of soil.

Geognostic surveys

Stratigraphic reconstruction of the subsoil, allows to determine the geomechanical and geophysical features of the soil. Before any consolidation project and/or soil studies, geognostic surveyes provide an accurate stratigraphic reconstruction of the soil.
Our company is able, in the course of drillng, to realise all those field tests to determine the geomechanical characteristics of the soil (SPT, Vane Test, Pocket Penetrometer) from taking undisturbedsamples with various type of samplers (Schelby, Osterberg, Mazier).
After drilling, types of piezometers (open, Casagrande or pneumatic) can be applied into the borehole, according to the geotechnical project requirements.
When soil permeability characteristics are defined, Lefranc or Lugeon tests can be done. When soil present stability problems, at the end of drilling , an inclinometer tube can be applied to monitoring the deformation of the soil.
The sites are supervised by qualified staff, wich in turn are able to perform the necessary and indispensable tests.

Environmental geology

The following dots are performed:

  • Preliminary studies to construct sites for the disposal of waste;
  • Characterization and remediation of pulled sites;
  • Reabilitation of degraded areas.
Piezometric Monitoring

Aureli Soil Srl performs the installation of different types piezometers, including open tube, Casagrande, vibrating wires.
Piezometric monitoring can be arranged with phreatimetres of different lenghts.


Aureli Soil Srl provides a monitoring service using inclinometric probes.
These investigations are widely used in civil engineering to contrlo movements and deformations of landslide, as well as determine changes in the alignment of structures.
From the results we can control movements of landslide, embankments, earth dams and general containment strucuters such as bulkheads, retainig walls etc…


The CPT test obtains a direct measurement of the soil resistance, it allows to recognize the stratigraphic profile of the soil and its geotechnical characteristics (volume weight, cohesion, undrained cohesion, friction angle, etc).
With the CPTU test you can measure the pore pressure through sensor placed in the electric points (Piezocone).


With the DPSH test you can obtain a qualitative characterization of a soil’s stratigraphic profile with the calibration of focused investigations (surveys) or by comparing other evidences in situ.
It’s possible determine resistance ad deformability values of soil, particularly incoherent granular soil types, but also fine and cohesive.


This test allow the direct measurementof the resistance to the undrained cohesion (Cu) localized in satured cohesive soils.
Moreover, this test can m easure the resistance to the residual undrained cohesion (Cur) of saturated cohesive soils and the sensivity of the material (ASTM D2573).
